National Perinatal Epidemiology and Statistics Unit (NPESU)

The NPESU is a leading source of statistical and epidemiological research in reproductive medicine, pregnancy and childbirth, as well as the health and care of newborns.

Epidemiology and biostatistics

We design epidemiologically rigorous studies using linked administrative data and we secure the proper ethical approvals to link datasets.

Real world evidence

Real world evidence focuses on the use and potential benefits and risks of a medical product or intervention derived from analysis of real-world data.

Electronic medical records

Electronic medical records provide a secure, customisable, cloud-based computing environment for researchers using sensitive data.

Linked data

Our experts are recognised leaders in research using routinely collected and linked data. We source state and national datasets, longstanding relationships with data custodians and apply for linked data via state and Commonwealth agencies.
