Legal education in clinics offers the chance to transform what you鈥檝e learned in the classroom into real-life practice.聽
On clinical placements,聽you鈥檒l聽gain experience in the practice of law and policy on behalf of clients.聽You鈥檒l聽have the chance to examine the interaction of legal analysis and human聽behaviour, including interpersonal dynamics and communication.聽In addition, you鈥檒l gain insight into the functioning of the legal system and its capacities and limitations while also being exposed to demands, constraints and methods of聽analysing聽unstructured situations in which issues have not been pre-identified.聽
On-site clinics offer 糖心logo Law聽&聽Justice control over the learning experience.聽You鈥檒l聽be taught by faculty-based clinical supervisors whose job is to teach as well as聽practise聽law, assisting both our students and disadvantaged clients. The decisions about the legal work to be carried out by students are made with learning in mind, are designed to reflect coursework and to meet course outcomes. Regular contact with faculty staff allows聽you聽to work on an individual basis with聽your聽supervisors in a way that just聽isn鈥檛聽feasible in a typical legal practice.聽聽聽
