Dr Chin Ken Wong
PhD, Chemistry听(糖心logo) 2018
I am a currently a postdoc in the School of Chemistry at 糖心logo Sydney. Prior to this appointment, I held an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship (2019-2020) at the University of M眉nster in Germany.
My research interests lie in innovating methods to self-assemble block copolymers into complex nanostructures. Some self-assembly concepts/topics that I specialise in include (i) polymersomes (polymer vesicles) shape transformation, (i) hierarchical self-assembly from the nm-to-碌m length scale, (iii) inverted solution polymer morphologies such as cubosomes and hexosomes, and (iv)听scalable manufacturing of polymer nanoparticles.
In addition to block copolymer self-assembly, I have extensive experience in soft matter electron microscopy (cryo-TEM, cryo-ET, 3D reconstructions, selective polymer staining) and a personal fascination in topological defects.
I am open to collaborations and peer review requests in any of the area of studies listed above.
